Meet our Speakers
Jan Beger(moderator) is the Senior Director of Digital Ecosystem at GE Healthcare, where he guides his team in developing cooperation with partner companies, indirect channels, startup centres, and networks. He is also the head of GE Healthcare’s Edison™ Accelerator in the EMEA region. Jan is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of experience leading strategic initiatives and decisions in the field of healthcare informatics, the medical imaging domain, and management.
Dr. Marie-Thérèse von Buttlar(panellist) is an Early-Stage Investor at Earlybird Venture Capital, focusing on EdTech, HRTech, FoodTech and Digital Health. She was a consultant for McKinsey & Company and a business development researcher for the startup Amorelie. Marie-Thérèse holds a PhD in consumer behaviour and marketing from the RWTH Aachen University and an MSc in International Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Joanna Wardzinski(panellist) is a Head Tech Lead and Operations, International Healthcare at Amazon Web Services. Before joining AWS, she worked as a Microsoft Business Manager and a Senior Economic Advisor and Policy Analyst for the Government of Canada. Joanna holds an MBA in Business Administration from INSEAD and an MA in Economics from York University.
Laura Nelde(panellist) is a Senior Insights Manager at Flying Health. For the past 4 years, she has been supporting partnerships between national and international healthcare startups, hospitals (private or public), insurances and pharma companies in Germany. Laura holds an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge.
Dr. Sarah Bechstein(panellist), is a Co-Founder and Dermatologist of FORMEL Skin, an e-health company offering personalized and science-based treatments for a broad set of dermatological conditions. She has obtained a Dr.med from the University of Heidelberg and trained as a dermatology resident at the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, the Charité University Hospital, and the Zurich University Hospital.
